As opposed to meaning "the macaroni", it actually reffers to a form of pasta that is long, thick and has a hole in the middle, so it's translation would be closer to "the bucatino". The text reads "I-ai taiat macaroana". Literally meaning: "You've cut his bucatino", the expression actually translates into "You've interrupted him", "You've stopped him", "You've spoiled his fun".
